013: Vision and Posture w/ Alexander Technique teacher Michele Drivon

Jul 02, 2016 00:50:10

In this episode Nathan interviews Michele Drivon, a practitioner of the Alexander Technique. Michele explains what the Alexander Technique is, how it helped her life, and a little bit about the history of F.M. Alexander. Michele also studied the Bates Method with Nathan so they converse about some of the similarities and differences between the Alexander and Bates approaches to health and wellness. Michele's practice is called 'Conscious Alignment', and in this talk we dive into a few different interpretations and different definitions of alignment can mean in terms of the body, mind, and spirit. There are a ton of gems in this interview, so make sure you listen all the way through, and while you're at it head over to www.consciousalignment.com to learn more about Michele and the Alexander Technique. The Alexander Technique can really compliment your Bates Method practice, so maybe even consider taking a few Alexander Technique lessons with a practitioner near you (Michele's got links to teacher directories on her site).
